The story
The Micro E-mini S&P 500 (MES) and Micro E-mini Nasdaq-100 (MNQ) are one-tenth the size of ES (E-mini S&P 500 futures) and NQ (E-mini Nasdaq-100 futures): $5 and $2 per point. Micro Gold (MGC) covers 10 ounces instead of 100. CME (Chicago Mercantile Exchange) Group launched the Micro E-minis in 2019 at one-tenth the size of the standard contracts.
